NEW YORK (Reuters) ? Stocks fell about 1 percent in see-saw trade on light volume on Thursday after a four-day rally as investors awaited Friday's key payrolls report.
The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI) dropped 93.69 points, or 0.81 percent, to 11,519.84. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (.SPX) dropped 12.30 points, or 1.01 percent, to 1,206.59. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC) dropped 30.52 points, or 1.18 percent, to 2,548.94.
