Position Summary:

The position of Visual Communication Coordinator in the External Communications department involves working directly with the Graphic Design Director to create and assemble graphic materials for use in the firm?s marketing and publicity needs. This entails, but is not limited to:

• Creating custom portfolios, both print and digital, to send to prospective clients
• Providing graphic support for RFQ and RFP submissions
• Adding and updating the project pages on the firm?s website
• Creating ads and other materials to be featured in outside publications and brochures
• Producing drawings generated in AutoCAD for use in the firm?s monographs as well as print portfolios and digital presentations
• Assisting the graphics needs of the External Communications department in any capacity deemed appropriate by the Graphic Design Director.

The position requires a high level of judgment and discretion when it comes to producing materials. This person will meet with?the Director of External Communications, and?the Marketing Director, in addition to the Partners directly in order to present independently created work.

Must be detail-oriented with excellent time management skills. The ability to work well with the other members of the External Communications department and be able to communicate ideas and questions clearly and timely is a must. Creative thinking is both encouraged and required.

Minimum Level of Education: 4-year undergraduate degree in the field of architecture or a 5-year B.Arch; additional coursework focusing on graphic design a plus

Years of relevant work experience: 2 years of industry experience encouraged, but not required

Required Skills: Knowledge of AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), and MS Office (specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D rendering programs; knowledge of BIM/Revit
