? ? ? Cultural and social ties between Japan and the members of the EU has grown significantly during the 1990?s and is still growing today.

? ? ? Both Japan and Nations from the EU are linked together in order to make peoples? life better by enriching everyone?s spiritual wealth and by offering them peaceful and respectful co-habitation. In the last couple of years; Japan?s existence has been aknowledged by a number of people who have always wanted to discover interesting things about its culture and language. Also in 2000 an Action Plan was made in which Japan and the EU promised to co-operate in order to promote peace and security, cope with global and social problems, strengthen the economy, make globalisation a benefit for everyone, and to bring together people and cultures.
? ? ? Therefore the relationship between Japan and the EU has deepened and people from the latter countries have multiple

possibilities to encounter the Japanese culture in the comfort of their own homes. Also the Minister of Education of Japan offers many scolarships every year for those who want to study to Japan in order to learn the language, have direct contact with the lifestlye in Japan, and to make friends. It?s a fact that both Japan and the EU care about each other and have common interests in developing intra-human relationships.
? ? ? Although cultural and noneconomic ties with the EU are important for both, economic relations remain by far the most important element of the Japanese-EU relationship of today. Being two of the world?s largest economies, they are trying to create an environment for trade and investment; which in my opinion, this goal has already been reached as Japanese companies have breached through the European market and have also succeded in their businesses.
? ? ? All in all Japan-EU relationships are a benefit for each and everyone of us. They are fighing together against poverty and?
