RIMM launches music service (Investor's Business Daily)

The BlackBerry maker started BBM Music, which lets users share songs with other subscribers, a feature that's not available with Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL - News) iTunes. For $4.99 a mo., BlackBerry users can choose up to 50 songs from some 10 mil tracks to add to their BBM Music profile. Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM - News) has licensing deals with labels such as Universal, Sony (NYSE:SNE - News), Warner Music and EMI. Some 45 mil people use BlackBerry Messenger. RIM slid 1.2% to 28.22.
